Siargao welcomes visitors by both air and sea. If your journey involves a ferry from Surigao City or another island, you'll dock at Dapa Port — and you'll need to navigate from there to your accommodation. This guide covers everything.
About Dapa Port
Dapa Port is the main entry point for sea arrivals to Siargao Island. It's a functioning commercial port in the town of Dapa, in northern Siargao. The port receives regular ferry services from Surigao City on the Mindanao mainland, and occasional services from other nearby islands.
The port area itself is straightforward — exit the gangway, collect your bags from the cargo area if applicable, and you're immediately in the port's exit zone where transport options are available.

⚠️ Ferry schedule note: Ferry departures from Surigao City are often in the early morning (6–10 AM). This means you may arrive at Dapa Port by late morning. Build in enough time to reach your accommodation before check-in closes for the day.
Transport Options from Dapa Port
Option 1 — Pre-Booked Van Transfer
The most comfortable option. Contact us in advance with your ferry arrival time and we'll have a driver at the port when you arrive. Drove directly to your hotel in General Luna without unnecessary stops or detours.

Option 2 — Tricycle to Dapa Town + Van to GL
From the port, a tricycle can take you into Dapa town center (about 10 minutes, ₱50–₱80). From there, you can find shared vans heading to General Luna. This two-transfer option takes longer and involves more logistics, but works if you couldn't pre-book in advance.
Option 3 — Walk-In Van at the Port
Occasionally, vans queue at the port exit for walk-in passengers. Availability is not guaranteed and prices may be higher than pre-booked rates. Not recommended as a primary strategy during peak season.
Connecting via Dapa Port to Siargao Airport
If you're arriving by ferry and then catching a domestic flight, Dapa Port is just 10–15 minutes from Sayak Airport — one of the most convenient connections on the island.
Key advice:
- Allow a minimum of 2 hours between ferry arrival and flight check-in
- Ferries frequently run 20–60 minutes late due to tides and weather
- Book your port-to-airport transfer in advance for guaranteed availability
